Love Each Other
Love & Serve Our Community
About Our Church
Beverly Hills Baptist Church began as a mission of Asheville First Baptist Church in 1950, and we were officially constituted as a church on July 18, 1954. On September 8, 1985, we moved into our new sanctuary at 777 Tunnel Road. We are cooperatively affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Buncombe Baptist Association.
We are driven by a passion to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:28-30)
Our warm and caring fellowship, along with obedience to Christ in studying God's Word, draws us together in a spirit of unity and support for each other as we face the challenges of life. We live by the new commandment given by Jesus: "love one another; even as I have loved you" (John 13:34)
And rolling up our sleeves to give of ourselves in love and service to others in need -- in our local community and beyond -- affords us the joy of living out Jesus' example: "Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)
We seek to be an inclusive church, opening our doors and our hearts to people of all races, religious backgrounds, and family situations. We earnestly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through biblically based teaching and preaching, we present the simple but profound belief that Christ can make a difference in our lives, and that as His disciples, we can make a difference in our community.
We warmly invite all persons to come and worship with us, to experience our fellowship, and to join us in serving Christ both here and around the world.
